Assembly is also twice as fast when using a Truck, Fuel Tanker, or Stationary Crane/ Facility Crane than on foot and you retrieve 9 times faster when using a Small Train Locomotive. The duration of the "assembly" period depends on the inherent value of the thing being retrieved. When using a vehicle the inventory shown on the bottom left will be your vehicle's inventory instead of your backpack, it also allows you to retrieve items 3 by 3 by pressing Shift + Left click.

Retrieving can be done while on foot but also from the driver seat of certain vehicles ( Trucks, LUV, Fuel Tanker, Ambulance, Small Train Locomotive, Cranes). You can left click an item to retrieve one from the stockpile and after an "assembly" period it will be added to your Backpack inventory. Sorted will show all available items first, while Unsorted shows all items in a set order (with each weapons next to their respective ammo). The Sorted/Unsorted dropdown menu at the top right changes how items are sorted. The stockpile's items can be filtered by category by pressing the buttons at the top: You can remotely check the content of a base's stockpile by placing your cursor on the base's icon on the map.

Each stockpile is individual and do not share an inventory with other stockpiles elsewhere. When hovering over an item you can see a short description of the item and its uses.

The numbers shown on each item icon is the amount of that item in the stockpile. Players can access a stockpile by opening its structure's menu with E (default). 1.3 Submitting Items and Crates of Items.
